Working Together Rather Than Side by Side: TEAMCARE Featured in AMS FokusInfo
A new feature on the TEAMCARE project has been published by the Austrian Public Employment Service (AMS) in AMS FokusInfo, Issue 306.
In the interview, Seema Akbar from the Vienna Institute for Labour Market and Education Research (WIAB)explains how TEAMCARE promotes genuine collaboration between health and social care professionals—working together rather than simply side by side.
As care needs become increasingly complex, fragmented approaches are no longer sufficient. TEAMCARE addresses this challenge through the development of an interprofessional European curriculum designed to equip health and social care professionals with the transversal and digital skills needed to work effectively within Community-based Interprofessional Teams (CBITs).
The interview highlights key elements of the TEAMCARE approach, including:
A shared competence framework connecting health and social care services
Person-centred care based on the multidimensional needs of each individual
Flexible learning pathways and micro-credentials
New guidelines supporting Vocational Education and Training and Higher Education across Europe
